wait, what!?
Are you saying that you train these styles or come up, as in invented these styles? Or heard about them and then developed your own style based on them!?
i kinda don't get what you trying to say/ask!?! Reaction by:

haha Reaction by:

yup
Sorry mate, there is already a bear style. Its based on people with more strength than they can handle... for the really tall Big people (people in UFC would be under bear) Its not the most complexe style either, like UFC, its just get in there and bash'em.
'dizzyjim' Please tell me the foundation of your style; its tactics, its spirit, what is it all about? How does it go about fighting, is it leg dominate or hand dominate? Being a llama style you'd want it to be leg dominate. But theres a problem with the styles you've vreated. I know for sure there is already a horse style, and i'm 80% sure theres already a llama style, so if there is... you havne't really come up with your own... soz to break the news Reaction by:

style
why don't you just have no style?
no style, can beat style Reaction by:
five_animals, 2005-11-17 01:59
wtf?! NO!
No style can't beat style, thats the stupidest thing i've heard in a long time! Style has Control, plan, knows how to fight and knows wha dto do in a fight if things get out of control. No style has no plan, no tactics, they will be easily controlled!
like... if your going in for an exam (for school) do you do lots of study for it? learn all that you can from a teacher? or do you go into the exam knowing very little!? Reaction by:
hands_down, 2005-11-17 03:12
lol
i meant it as a bruce lee thing, you know...
using no way as way. having no limitation as limitation. Reaction by:

i've researched it and as far as i've found there's no horse or llama style.
Llama is a lot to do with stomping techniques and low kicks aiming to break the legs, but a main tactic in it is to spit in the opponents eyes so they're blinded. it's really best for muscley heavier people kinda like bear style. Horse is far more physically demanding, as it is quite acrobatic, I've incorporated some breakdance moves which mimic the horse very well, there isn't any grappling (wtf are horses meant to grapple with) however you can use lots of its moves to avoid getting into a grapple contest. It has a lot of leg moves but ver powerful hand and elbow moves, the legs are mainl;y using the ball and heel and include ground and face stomping in their repertoi. Reaction by:

mate
mate... i'm telling you, there is already a horse style! and i'm 80% sure there is a Llama style!
pla... i've been in the animal style business for 9 years... i can tell what i say is correct! Reaction by:
hands_down, 2005-11-21 21:31
well i'm pretty sure a llama can't fight anyways so who the hell cares. stop imitating animals anf fight as your own self. haha god, i hate animal kung fu. sorry five_animals...

well...
You Hate what u can't do! I choose so stay as an animal fighter because i know that it is one of the most effective styles for fighting and getting your body into perfect shape!
A lot of technology today and military tactics got the idea from animals... just like the Monks got the idea for fighting from animals! A Crane can't use its wings to apply locks everyone knows that, but there is more the the style than fighting like an animal... the animal is a foundation to something that is known worldwide. Shaolin kung-Fu is the foundation for most of the fighting styles today! The monks used these exercises to stay awake during long periods of meditation, but then had to learn how to fight to defend themselves and what thier temple contained! A llama can fight, i've seen llama's take on a fully grown male Puma and won... the Puma couldn't keep up in the fight... the powerful kicks and the spiting, along with a stong body was enough to defend from a preditor! Just like a crane could defend themselves from a snake, or a snake from an elephant... its about the physically weaker being victorious! haha although the monks are physically stronger than everyone on this site :P Hands_down, this weekend i am going to an MMA gym... where i am being welcomed as a guest to train with them... i will do their training and then their sparing along side with them and against them... Its going to be semi-full contact... the any hit to the face or vital areas are going to be halved, so that way we still feel it alot, yet there is no damage; and we know what could have potentially happened. I will be fighting with everyone there and who want to fight (and since most people in MMA are over egotistical i will be fighting everyone). My Sifu and I will proove that animal can equal or beat or style... Reaction by:

MMA?
Would MMA be good for small and closed in places, beacuse ive seen clips where they have have been kicked the shit out of, eg- i saw a demonsration that a guy with a knife and mma guy, the mma guy tried to get him in a grapple which he did but got stabbed nearly 50 times, and that's no lie either, lucky it was a fake knife, So my question is, would arts like mma, bjj or judo be bad in any situation or not.
Reaction by:
five_animals, 2005-11-23 09:10
yeah
If your in a really inclosed space i don't think Judo would do well coz theres no room to throw people... they;d hit da wall... MMA i think would do well because they are close fighters... the only diff is there is no retreat so one can easily dominate, but the MMA being dominated would do hopless... BJJ don't need a lot of space either coz they're on the ground, it just means they couldn't role around a lot.

hmm
Oh yeah, that reminds me, i also saw some clips with a master of kung fu and bjj expert royce gracie, i think thats how you spell it.Royce Gracie got him on the ground without much of a struggle and punched him many times, so this makes me wonder if kung fu can really beat these kind of styles. ps, the kung fu practitioner could of done more to stop from being man handled but it said that he didnt have much experience with grappling so yeah

Surprising
And the Kung-Fu master didn't get any hits in at all? wtf was he doing then?! And which style of kung-fu was this? Its understandable for someone who has never done wreslting before to be beaten if they are taken to the ground... but if he was a master of Kung-Fu he would at least have attacked him before that.
I will come back this weekend knwoing if my Kung-Fu (not speaking for all Kung-Fu, but mine) is able to beat MMA or not Reaction by:
hands_down, 2005-11-24 13:55
its because mma actually works in a fight and kung fu doesn't :P
Reaction by:
dizzyjim, 2005-11-24 22:29
well i dont care ive made my own up and thats the way it is, probly better than the original.

wtf
Why does everyone think that Kung-Fu is an impractical way of fighting when its not!!!?!?!?!?!?!?
MMA is a good way of fighting if you want to fuck someone up and get sued! its ment for the ring and ring only... Kung-Fu was developed to beat other styles... to protect certain things and themselves! in the olden days Kung-Fu killed and killed cleanly and fast... it would waste an MMA fighter, would waste a muay thai fighter, boxer etc... there arn't many places that teach it like they did in the olden days... i get about half to 2/3 thirds of proper traditional training... it would waste MMA... and i will prove it this weekend (my kung-fu, not kung-fu in general... i can't speak for the whole of kung-fu) Reaction by:
yipman, 2005-11-26 12:24
hmm
How did it go at the mma gym, did you win. I think that kung fu would be handy in a fight if you apply it right, just like any other styles, hands down- have you asked your instructor what he thinks of it, becuase ive noticed that most people belive their masters in most cases, like what they thik of other styles and stuff like that. Oh yeah, who reckons that pro wrestlers would be able to handle themselves in fights, like real street fights, i think they would be able to handle themselves very well, it would hurt if you got thrown on ya head or something like that

went well
a total of 8 fights i faught in and 2 i lost... one person fell almost straight away coz of certain combinations and stepping and he was meant to be really good... meh, the others i was to quick for... one got me to the ground... so i tried to put him in a submission but he was too strong for me... got out and put me in one :P The other i lost to was the instrucer... i did well... but he also got me to the ground and over powered me.
So its very fair to say... That in a Stand up fight between Kung-Fu and MMA Kung-Fu kicks arse... on the ground MMA rules... we each have our own domain in which we rule... My Sifu on the other hand didn't loose at all... they didn't have time or the chance to take her to the ground... one tried to but she kneed them in da face (after a while he tried to spear tackle her... didn't work) Reaction by:

props to you
good job man...
next, you'll have to come to my gym :), we'll show you some stand up skills, haha. Reaction by:

props to yah dude well done mma fighters are strong, maybe to advance your kung fu you should study some Dim Mak so that when someone tries to take you down you just push a pressure point. still well bloody done, did you use snake fist at all?
Reaction by:
five_animals, 2005-11-28 10:40
lol
Thanks all... yes, MMA fighters are strong...
I know some of the Dim Mak, but i don't know how effective it will be against such large people... you either beat them at their own game (i.e. pure strength e.g. tiger style) or you move quick and hit... letting them tire... that was the best option for most i found, coz once they got tired thats when u go strength and beat them... hopfully. But stregnth isn't always needed, My Sifu was able to win by eagle claw... she was very impressive, i wish i had a camera (vid recoreder) coz i would try and post it, or give u the link to it, coz everyone lost to her... which prooved that strength doesn't always overwhelm the weak :) Since it was different fighting styles and neither of us knew the other inside out... the head instructer and I/my sifu would be judging, and they were the ones to say when the fight was ended (coz it wasn't full contact to the face... but if we got hit in the face a certain amount of times, or in the right spot etc they'd call it over) and My Sifu on two of them did killing techniques... i was shocked when she did it coz of the risk factor... but she had complete control and only let them tap, so i'd have to call it over... It was hard to explain to them how it was a killing technique... but got it in the end lol I don't like people using the term snake fist, since the snake style don't use fist... but yes, i used the evasive techniques and some of the re-directing of the snake... it did well... unless i get the neck or eyes it wouldn't do that much damage against such a big person... but the speed of it was perfect coz it they arn't trained to go that fast... Think of it this way... 1 big punch is equivilant to 1000 small punches... just like 1000 rat shits equal 1 elephant shit... haha wierd i know... but if the snake was to hit other areas it would take a long time coz the snake don't have strength, thats why it will go for the weak spots of the body... Yes, I have a new style that was derived from the twenty years I spent training with Pokémon. I trained with the best: Charizard, Blastoise, and lets not forget MaCHOP! I call this new style Poké-FOO because it combines Poké-skill perfected by my human mastery of the moves.
