Best VS Worst

I was wondering what you consider as the best and worst Kung Fu movies. Of course you can only judge the movies you have seen.

Best Jackie Chan movie: Who Am I
Worst Jackie Chan movie: Thunderbolt
Best Bruce Lee movie: Enter the Dragon
Worst Bruce Lee movie: Fist of Fear and other fake movies made after his death.
Best Jet Li movie: Hero and Fist of Legend
Worst Jet Li movie: Kiss ot the Dragon
Best Modern Kung Fu movie: Hero
Worst Modern Kung Fu movie: Fighting Fish
Best Classic Kung Fu movie: Prodigal Son
Worst Classic Kung Fu movie: Prodigal Son

Who am I is my favorite because it has a good story. But a few weeks ago we did a Rush Hour marathon and that was great too. The best scene is the Mariah Carey imitation of the small girl. I also like the old Hong Kong Jackie Chan movies.

I have watched Hero a few times now, and i like the colors very much. I has taken Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon from the first place. Now it is third place because of House of the Flying Daggers. I have seen Here and CTHD together in the movie theater last year, with a presentation of Tan Dun. Tan Dun made the music for both movies. Hero is awesome on the big screen.

I took the DVD of Hero with me on a visit to my Sifu (Wang Kiu), he told me that it was one of the best movies he has seen. It was quite fun to watch it with him. He told me about the historical facs and what they said in the movie.

I put Prodigal Son as worst and best movie in classics. I like the Wing Chun storie and the training in the small village. But there are some mistakes in historical facts. And i dislike the make up of the actors and the overacted fights in the beginning. But there is some good info when Leung Jan learns Wing Chun. The end fight is bad also. Of course it is not the worst classic movie. There are fake Bruce Lee movies with no stars rating at IMDB. But I refuse to watch them.

What are your Best and Worst?

best/worst

best jackie - drunken master (both of them)
worst - the young master
best bruce - enter the dragon
worst bruce - fist of fury
best jet li - Unleashed, fist of legend
worst jet li - black mask
best modern - Unleashed
worst modern - kung pow
Best classic - snake in eagles shadow?
worst classic - any low budget chinese film

fist of legend is my fav. kung fu movie ever.
i didn't know if you only wanted kung fu movies, or any type of of fighting movie. cause i'd say The Last Samurai is the best action/fighting movie.

why do you dislike kiss of the dragon?

Kiss of the Dragon

The cover and the story on the back are like it is a great movie. The fight scenes are great but the story has some plot errors. The story is also very simple. It is not a very bad movie. I haven't seen black mask yet, maybe it is worse. The One was not so good i remember, but is was long ago i watched it. The other movies are ok. I haven't seen Unleashed yet but you choose it as great, so i will buy it when i see it somewhere cheap. Young master is not so great either. I haven't seen Police Story 4 yet. It was in the theaters here and we planned to go with the school, but when we arrived they cancelled it from the theaters because of the bad reviews in the press. So i want to see what it is like. The last Samurai is also a modern Martial Arts movie. It was indeed a great movie to watch.

Unleashed Trailer

Found a trailer from Unleashed, cool... You can watch it here now:

Jet

Jet Li is coming out with his last martial arts epic, and its called Fearless. It's a story of a shaolin monk. I watched the trailor, it looks pretty good.

I really liked Kiss of the Dragon, Jet Li played a really good part in it. Black mask was horrible..

yeah Unleashed has a very good plot, and Jet fights like a crazy person. :)

Jet Li

Went to the shopping mall with my girl and dog for some crap. Had to go in the music store and bought 6 kung fu DVD's that were still missing from my collection. Most of them Jet Li movies:

Jet Li - Red Dragon (Just watched it, quite ok. Nice fights and some good humor. The story is also ok)
Jet Li - The evil cult
Jet Li - Born to Defense
Jet Li - Romeo must die
A green Hornet DVD (with Bruce Lee of course)
Chow Yun Fat - The Killer (a John Woo movie)

BTW, i found a Fearless trailer, and some scenes, i put them in a new article. And then i am going to watch a Kung Fu movie...

Learning
www.yantaikungfu.com I was student in the school.unfortunately I left in advance last winter .At that moment, there are only several students. you know ,the terrible cold day outside ,the ice-cold room inside,he didn’t even provide any heat system.and deducted more than forty percent of my deserved refund without any reasons when I left earlier, a fake. more,I have heared from the translator that the true name of school is not “traditional kungfu school.he just put it into the internet.which put a cheat...

pi**ed off sigung
people forget that sigung gathered a concept of ideas that suited him at the time, yes it was given a name but it was never a set system of martial art, ive studied a form of jkd for many years now but feel that too much is put on the idea of it being bruce lees product and something that can be bought, what jkd is for me isnt what it is for anyother in the world, its how you...

Hey, I really like this forum.
It's cool to see what other people think and believe about some of the most famous martial artists. I was reading gunz's and lohan?'s comments, and then looked at the long list, and stopped reading right around where lohan said that he respected gunz. idk, if this forum is outdated, and that my comment will mean nothing... but here are my two cents anyway... Bruce Lee is great. Jet Li is great. Jackie Chan... is just crazy. Ha :) I think that...

Why Jackie chan would not last 1 round with bruce lee.
Bruce Lees style that he created himself jeet kwan do. (the art on no style). Ranked supreme during his time it broke down the all of the of the flaws of gung fu, kung fu, shaolin, boxing mu thai, judo etc. Jeet kwan do was all of the style combined into one style. If Jackie chan came at bruce with just his simple shaolin munk fighting style it would only be seconds before Bruce Lee would pick him apart. I...

Bruce lee is the greatest "why?"
Bruce lee is the greatest because he was the best at every popular fighting style at his time. If he lived in our era he would have studied brazilian jui jitzu and all of the other styles that have emerged in the ufc, k-1 etc. The best fighter is the who can adapt to all styles and that was what bruce lee was all about he trained and worked harder than any fighter ever. If there was a modern day...
