Actors cant fight against true fighters Hi, All Bruce and jackie are actors in a real combat against true legend they'll be KO'd. Best fighter ever are muay thai fighters like: Apidej Sit Hirun (340 wins/10 losses/1 draw) = this fighter once broke both arms of an apponent. His kick was so powerful that he broke a fighter thigh bones. Apidej has been officially given the title of best kicker ever and best fighter of last century by the king of thailand. Diesel Noi = knockout so many apponents with his knees.. beaten many quality fighter including ramon dekker. only lost 4 fights in his career buakaw por. pramuk = 2004, 2006 k1 max champion. lost only 7 out of his 155 pro fights. Samkor = probably the 2nd best kicker ever. had over 200 pro fights and 300 amateur.

Of course
We all know that movie fights are not realistic. People can't fly and opponents won't wait until your kick is there. Movies are stories and that is the fun. Of course there are many fighters who became actors. And in martial arts movies you have to have some skills. Like Jean Claude van Damme, he can do nice kicks and splits. Absolutely useless in a ringfight. The all lose a fight against Sem Schildt (2006 K1 Champion).
Muay Thai fights also have rules and regulations. You cannot compare a Muay Thai fighter with a Swordfighter or somebody from Africa with a spear. You always have to ask for yourself what the purpose of your training is. What is your goal? In movies it is entertainment. In Muay Thai it is to win the competition. In Africa it is survival. For the Samurai it was survival. Thanks for your post, are you a Muay Thai fighter also? Where are you from? Reaction by:

hmm
i dont think mua thai guys are the best, they're powerful sure, but they dnt know how 2 block, i've seen videos also where, because the muai thai guys style was so smple a taekwondo guy was able to knock him out due to his hard arse jump kicks.

well
your probably watching some bad fighters then. I'm in muay thai, and we spend a lot of time with blocking, slipping, bobbing punches. watch ramon dekkers. hes amazing.
i have also seen fights on tae kwon do beating muay thai, but the thai fighter sucked. 95% of the fights that i've seen with thai fighters and tae kwon do - the tae kwon do guy gets his ass kicked. people think that thai fighters have bad hands, but i beg to differ. we spend almost more time with hands then we do kicking. my instructor is from thailand and hes got some of the fastest hands i've ever seen. i've also heard stories of thai boxer's winning boxing championships. so, i think because of some bad fighters, people are underestimating muay thai. just like any style, if you've been properly trained and you work hard at perfecting the moves, you're going to be good, which in turn makes the style look good. my opinion is that muay thai is the best stand up style in the world. i haven't seen too much practical kung fu, so i don't know how to judge it. huh?
i dont agree with what you said about bruce and jackie not being real fighters at all. bruce was a great fighter. do some research, in your case do a lot of research.
what bout this, if bruce wasnt a real fighter why would he create his own style and open many jeet kune do schools. use common sense. fighting actors can fight really good sometimes. they were just ordinary ppl that took there skill to movies. wich is what im planning to do, and i fight pretty good. muay thia is good but i wouldnt say its the best. actually i dont think any style is the best. it depends on the person himself. it depends on your dedication on training and will power. those who have a good potential will be good in any style. those who just slack around using martial arts to beat ppl up for fun, will always be beaten. im in the army now and they teach us basic tea kwon do. i find the training pathetic, but the work outs intense. half the guys cant do push ups. ive ranked up a bit because the commander likes how easily i can do the things. and if i do the pushups without a sweat theyll make me do extra. and i dont think any of the guys in my company will actually beat other martial artists. cuz there not dedicating themselves to the tea kwon do, there trying to get past basic training. p.s. bruce lee faught and beat muay thia fighters through his acting career. they can fight
Most martial art actors can fight because they know martial arts. there is no point in getting a simple guy and teaching him a whole heap of stuff when you can get someone that can already do it... common sense.
To say muay thai fighters can't block is absolutly stupid. One thing i know they teach in a muay thai school (one with strong connections to my club) is that if your in range to attack him, he's in range to attack you, erspecially for elbows and knees. Thats why you see them cover up with the other hand. Muay thai fighters are great fighters, and up against tae kwon do i will always put my money on muay thai Reaction by:

muay thia
muay thia fighters are excellent blockers, eccept not for many hits. if your fast enough you can try to hit a muay thia fighter, and if he blocks then make a quick strike to a lower part of the body. even though its not good for speedy attacks for 2 places at once it very good for strong blows. if youve ever seen ong bak, you would know.

Bruce Lee is The Dragon!
I totally agree that actors can not fight against true fighters, this is real and logic. but let me remind u guys, that Bruce Lee was not an actor by origion, he was an outstanding Kung Fu master who became a super star, depending on his skills. Actually, I'm a Jeet Kune Do practitioner, let me tell u that it is one of the best kung fu arts ever, coz it is a mixyure of different fighting arts, it is a perfect style, this "rebel" in the world of martial arts was created by one man known as the dragon. Bruce Lee was a legend, he died 34 years ago, and he still has this tremendous influence everywhere. He is one of the best fighters of all time, and this is the addmission of those who lived during his peak like Willian Cheung, John Rhee, Chuck Norriss and Bolo Yeung. Just take a look at his physique, it is beyond discription, as Dorian Yates ( 6 times MR. Olympia) said once. There are formidable facts about his amazing, brutal power, facts about his one inch punch, 1 finger push up, speed and concentration. Bruce is not an actor, he is the Kung Fu greatest martial artist, the undefeatable and the legend! :)
