first things first

It all depends on what you want out of the style.

Most eagle claw styles, and all the vast vast majority of drunken kung fu are wushu now days: so if you want to become really fit, and learn forms and that sort of stuff, and are not interested in fighting, then that is the way to go.
hung gar on the other hand is a combination between tiger and crane, physical technique wise, not the mental aspect.
they are a tought style, and are pretty good when it comes to a balance of forms fighting and technical variety, it is also suited for all body types.

Eagle needs a slender person, and not too tall.
Drunken needs same for health problems. If you're too big then the movements of the techniques and steppings will ruin your back.

just some things to take into consideration.

if you want more, then e-mail me
raiseofthephoenix@gmail.com

my club is well versed in imperial eagle (not shaolin eagle, there is a difference). i know tiger and crane style, and i learn't drunken boxing from a wushu master (later on figuring out how for it to be practical) so any questions please ask

I've heard alot of good things about Sanda and San Shou, the sport version of kung-fu.

Available

First check all schools in your area and how far you want to travel what is available. And make a plan what you want to learn. Another option is Choy Lee Fut. In Wing Chun there a loads of different lineages and learning systems also.

Sanda (or Sanshou) is a nice and fun way to compete. A student from our organisation finished 5th at the world championships in Macau in 2005. Try to find a school that has more options and a wide variety of styles or possibilities.

Learning
www.yantaikungfu.com I was student in the school.unfortunately I left in advance last winter .At that moment, there are only several students. you know ,the terrible cold day outside ,the ice-cold room inside,he didn’t even provide any heat system.and deducted more than forty percent of my deserved refund without any reasons when I left earlier, a fake. more,I have heared from the translator that the true name of school is not “traditional kungfu school.he just put it into the internet.which put a cheat...

pi**ed off sigung
people forget that sigung gathered a concept of ideas that suited him at the time, yes it was given a name but it was never a set system of martial art, ive studied a form of jkd for many years now but feel that too much is put on the idea of it being bruce lees product and something that can be bought, what jkd is for me isnt what it is for anyother in the world, its how you...

Hey, I really like this forum.
It's cool to see what other people think and believe about some of the most famous martial artists. I was reading gunz's and lohan?'s comments, and then looked at the long list, and stopped reading right around where lohan said that he respected gunz. idk, if this forum is outdated, and that my comment will mean nothing... but here are my two cents anyway... Bruce Lee is great. Jet Li is great. Jackie Chan... is just crazy. Ha :) I think that...

Why Jackie chan would not last 1 round with bruce lee.
Bruce Lees style that he created himself jeet kwan do. (the art on no style). Ranked supreme during his time it broke down the all of the of the flaws of gung fu, kung fu, shaolin, boxing mu thai, judo etc. Jeet kwan do was all of the style combined into one style. If Jackie chan came at bruce with just his simple shaolin munk fighting style it would only be seconds before Bruce Lee would pick him apart. I...

Bruce lee is the greatest "why?"
Bruce lee is the greatest because he was the best at every popular fighting style at his time. If he lived in our era he would have studied brazilian jui jitzu and all of the other styles that have emerged in the ufc, k-1 etc. The best fighter is the who can adapt to all styles and that was what bruce lee was all about he trained and worked harder than any fighter ever. If there was a modern day...
