In real the Karate person has a chance if he is quick, in the ring he has no chance.

Would be fun to start a tournament indeed, with 32 styles. I suppose it would be more fun to use an island in a ring of fire instead of a pit. No weapons, no protection material etc... We can start the first round next week, just add your styles and we will start the fights! Will be fun. Here is a suggestion for 32 styles (in random order):

Option 1 (one to one fights)

First week: 8 fights (first 16 fighters)
Second week: 8 fights (second 16 fighters)
Third week: 8 fights (quarter finals)
Fourth week: 4 fights (half finals)
Fiftht week: 2 fights (quarter finals)
Sixth week: Final fight

Option 2 (4 at the same time in one fight)

First week: 8 fights with 4 fighters (quarter finals)
Second week: 4 fights of 2 fighters (half final)
Third week: 1 fight with 4 fighters (final)

Option 3:

First week: 8 fights with 4 fighters (quarter finals)
Second week: 2 fights of 4 fighters (half final)
Third week: 1 fight with 2 fighters (final)

Option 4:

First week: 1 fight with 8 fighters
Second week: 1 fight with 8 fighters
Third week: 1 fight with 8 fighters
Fourth week: 1 fight with 8 fighters
Fifth week: Final with 4 fighters

Please let me know what option you like.

I will make 32 pieces of paper this week and let my girlfriend pick them so we can start the tournament on monday!

Championship Round:

BJJ vs. Kickboxing: After a quick scuffle on the feet, they go to the ground where the kickboxer taps out from punches.

It was the largest UFC tournament. I just wanted to see who you guys would think would win. But I think the vote thing would be fun, anyway. Maybe you can invent how the fighter won.

You should put Sumo wrestling in the bracket to show to big contrast between martial arts styles.

it all depends on the fighters in reality, cause lotsa people might say outta karate n BJJ, BJJ wud win but in reality it depends,, has the karate guy any knowledge of ground fighting, does he have the strength to resist the BJJ fighter, can he knock the guy out before he is taken down? loadsa factors. like i once saw a wing Chun guy bare knuckle against a BJJ guy n the BJJ guy won but the Wing Chun guy just froze on the ground, when in reality Wing Chun actualy does have ground fighting application. also he wasnt thinkin clearly enough to hit the guy first.

Well, real fighters did compete in the actual bracket. Royce gracie was the BJJ guy.

I think the alternative karate guy ( Fred Ettish) who fought the streetfighter ( Johnny Rhodes) was a grand master. He lost.

There was also Ron Van Clief, 10th degree blackbelt in Chinese Goju, who lost in UFC 4.
