Bruce VS Keanu

What is the best fight scene?

Enter the Dragon - Bruce Lee

Enter the Dragon

Bruce Lee VS A lot of opponents - including an uncredited appearance by Jackie Chan

"Enter the Dragon" was supposed to be Bruce Lee's big break as a lead actor in action movies in North America. It worked, but sadly, Lee never got to taste the success he had created - he died shortly before the release of the movie.

To say that this movie has some classic fight scenes is an understatement, and it's tought to pick a specific scene. The tournament scenes and the final battle really stand out though - and they are used to this day as examples of the blending of martial arts styles that Lee was a master of.

During the filming of "Enter the Dragon", Bruce Lee accidentally struck one of the extras with a fighting stick and swore to give him parts in all of his future movies to make up for the accident. Sadly, Bruce Lee died after filming "Enter the Dragon" and the extra he struck - a young up and comer named "Jackie Chan", never got to collect on the promise.

Matrix Reloaded - Keanu Reeves

Matrix Reloaded

Keanu Reeves VS 100 Copies of Agent Smith

If "Enter the Dragon" defined martial arts action at the movies, "The Matrix" trilogy is helping to re-define the style in the new millenium.

If you thought that you'd seen it all with the "bullet time" effects of the first movie and the intense battle between Smith and Morpheus at that movie's conclusion, you'll be bowled over by this sequence. Neo's battle with the now replicating Agent Smith and about 99 or so of his best clone friends is a high point in this movie.

Man VS computer

You cannot compare a real fight, in wich Jackie got hurt, with a computer animated fight. Although the fights in both movies are sure good fights. I think the best fight i have seen in a movie is the fight in "Fist of Legend" with Jet Li. This is the best modern martial arts fight scene ever: Finale vs. Japanese general. The entire movie features pure fighting with hardly any use of wires which showcases Jet Li's pure talent.

that was'nt jackie buddy

that was bruce. urrrr

The Way of the Dragon

Bruce VS Chuck

Is the best fight scene of all time.

link

The Prodigal son

I am a practicioner of Wing Chun and I was happy to find this movie about Wing Chun, named 'The Prodigal Son' starring Lam Chin Ying,
Frankie Chan, Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung. I would like to reccomend the fight in the middle of the movie between Lam Chin Ying and Frankie Chan (The wing chun teacher and the manchu prince), as one of the best fight sequences in movie history.

jackie

I know its a bit late and these comments were done so long ago but ive only just read them now. I think that bruce lee's fight scene was better than the two because it's a classic and you just cant beat a classic but i do think that jackies last fight scene in legend of the drunkin master was one of the best fights scenes i have ever seen, definately a great movie and ten times better than the first too. ps bruce, jackie and jet are the best to appear on film period.

link

hmm tricky one but i'd like to nominate the opening fight from "Unleashed" some of you might know it as "Danny the Dog" but yeah awesome scene pure mayhem mixed with style and control.

link

Yeah

That was not bad at all, it didnt go for long enough though, another thing is that jet didnt use his wushu or and kung fu in that movie, it was all brawling which i thought was really cool.

link

fight scene

that fight scene is sooo good. that movie is amazing. it comes out today where i live, i'm probably going to go buy it when i sign off.

fight scenes in movies are getting better and better. unleashed and ong-bak definetly set the standards for the some of the best fight scenes ever.

link

Yeah

I agree with you there hands down, ong bak was a sick movie, crap storyline, wicked action though. Im also a big fan of jet li as well so i really liked unleashed also.

link

actually he does use his wushu however he altered it to be more untidy to fit in with his characters way of fighting, showing him to be not only an amazing martial artist but a wicked actor.
Examples of Wushu:
He butterfly kicks some peeps when he jumps off a bloke he's just bin headbutting.
in any fight where he dodges a move by leaning sidewards.

link

Lee and Chan

Allegedly Jackie Chan gained a lot of respect because he was one of the few stuntmen prepared to take a full power punch from Lee during filming.

link

Matrix

Personally I found the matrix fight got boring (not least cos matrix began to disappear up its own behind). Funny thing was tho, it reminded more of the old-style fights from Hong Kong movies before the Bruce Lee style of realism set in.

link

dats cos yuen wo ping who coreographed the fights in the matrix did a lot of older films especially jackie chan

link

also i loved the 1st matrix movie and the 1st fight scene in matrix reloaded but after that they did go right up there own arse. god the wachowski brothers suck for that ending to revolutions.

link

HAHA, I laugh at thy ignorance. obviously, you possess much in the way of anti-brain matter. for this i anti-salute you. you probably can't even read what i am writing. your anti-brain cannot comprehend anything.bwahahahahaha, it's time for a Pokémon metaphor to express myself. First, let us substitute Keanu for Weedle (clearly, because he possesses similar qualities) and Bruce Lee for Machop (because he is a world-class Karate MASTER). Now let them fight and have destiny take its course. Weedle uses his first and best attack: Tail Wiggle. Charizard's hp is lowered from 120 to 110 hp.... then he laughs at the silly creature. Charizard attacks: he uses FIRE BREATH!!! The stupid weedle is destroyed. There you have it Bruce Lee just DOMINATED Keanu Reeves....

link

ftw

mr. marcus11, your ideas make my heart heavy and my prostate weak. my bladder is fit to bursting. notwithstanding, i wish to refute your metaphors with ones of my own, i will call them KUNGPOW-PHORS. yes, i will dismantle you with me proverbial wit and lack of charm. i will inebriate your mind with far-advanced speech parcels, so much so that you will fall to the ground and rithe in pain until your puny body cannot take any more.however, if you would prefer, i will use dumbed-down version for you. i talk good end of story. you stupid you ?

Definite number one

1. Donnie Yen vs Wu Jing in SPL has gotta be one of the best fighting scenes I've ever seen. Yen did an amazing job with the choreography. Some other good fight scenes include:

2. Dong-kun Yang vs Masaya Kato (Fighter in the
Wind)

3. Jet Li vs Donnie Yen (Hero)
4. Bruce Lee vs (any of his fights)

link

Pssst...

There are many fight scenes I belive is better.
Jackie Chan have made many good fighting scenes and a lot of them is better. Like the final fight scene in The legend of Drunken Master, Meals on Wheals and Dragons Forever. Be-A-utiful!
By the way, I think the fighting scene in Matrix 1 is better than the one in Matrix 2.

link

Any of Bruce Lee and Tony Jaa fights are probably the best ones you're gonna see. Both of them don't use wires at all.BTW, how the hell can Keanu Reeves be compared to Bruce Lee?

link

Brandon Lee

I heard that the ppl who made the matrix once said that they originally wanted Brandon Lee to star in the matrix, but sadly it couldn't happen. I bet it would have turned out way different.

link

different.

hi all i was a member here not to long ago, but i forgot my username, so i made a new one! Oh man my favorite fight scene now that's tough, but then again you can't compare the matrix to a bruce lee film, why? because the matrix was done with computers, Wires, and parts of it were computer generated. my favorite fights were the one's with the real martial artist, doing insane things, there's just to many too list so i'll put up three

Bruce lee v.s Chuck Norris (way of the Dragon)

jackie chan v.s Benny urquidez (wheels on meals)

Jet li v.s general fujita (fearless)

The Bruce Lee Diet
Obviously people associate Bruce Lee as being a master of martial arts who appeared in many films and had quite an amazing life. But one thing people may not be aware of is that Bruce Lee had a very strict diet which he stuck to, to keep him performing at the peak of his fitness. The Bruce Lee Diet consists of various factors which we will examine below. Obviously before even thinking about copying the Bruce Lee Diet, you should consult...

Learning
I was student in this school, www.yantaikungfu.com I left in advance last winter. there are a little students in total during my stay. It's cold outside,ice-cold room inside, but Qu didn't even provide any heat system for us,and deducted more than forty percent of my deserved refund without any reasons when I decide to leave earlier.what a fraud he is.Qu know mantis fist only,(many people knew that )but he tell us that many kinds of kungfu he knew, indeed put a cheat on many...

I just love these guys who write on forums and tell us how Sensie Segal can't fight. During my life I had the pleasure of training with the late Sensie Shigeru Kimura and Sifu Mark Stewart. They had one thing in common and that was the respect of other MA. Age and and obvious wieght problem may not have been kind to Sensie Segal but make no mistake he is one of the toughest MA who ever graced a dojo. I'm new...

Bytheway
i don't think i said the right thing initially, it is not a style i need techniques for, just ways to make my punching/kicking harder/faster/more powerful, sorry for not making that clear.

cheers
Cheers for that, i'll try not to suck! lol

Training
Then it is very difficult. I can tell you some excersizes, but i cannot correct you when you perform them wrong. And you will suck definately when you do it wrong when you join a club. But i will try to give you some suggestions: Do some push-ups everyday to make you arms stronger. Put your arms shoulder width and move your elbows close to your body (for your triceps training). Make the pushups on your fists, this will harden...

No time
i know that its not the best way to go, but i really don't have the time to commit to a club or classes in any style. It isn't so much a style i need advice on, just basic things (excersizes etc) i can practice so that when i leave school and have the time to join a club and begin learning a style, i don't suck. Thanks anyway
