Bruce Lee animated gif image

I found this Gif animation with Bruce Lee on the ramanon.com forum. I do not know where it comes from or what pwned is. Does anybody know? I like the animation, it is good.

hey

pwned is i think it means owend some one miss typed the o as p or another way for it any way it means owend like alot of people use it on games online when they win with ease :)

link

LOL

Fred got pwned

link

That's funny.

That is a part from Return Of The Dragon, where Bruce "pwns" someone. "pwned" basically means that Bruce completely messed him up, "owned" a "pwn" is Personal Own. God I go on too much IRC. Anyway, in that part, the guy gets pwned because he attempted to attack him, got hit in the gonads, and passed out. Pwned basically, a lot of internet geeks and people who just go on Internet Relay Chat a lot say pwned, I think that's hilarious. I'm laughing like heck.

link

he made a mistake...he pressed p insted of o...it shude be owned..

link

My comment for you

You are a complete moron if you haven't heard of pwned. What, are you like 80 years old, so you lived before the internet was created, and just can't stop clinging to the past?

link

Hey, dude, chill...some people just don't get it.

link

yah chill

iv never heard of pwnd and im 15. i thought it was a typountil kempo said pwnd is a word ppl actually use. what the hell kind of word is pwnd tho???

link

It's a geek/internet/1337 (leet) thing. Sometimes people say "teh" instead of "the", or "pwned" instead of "owned". It's just internet culture. For example...

"3y3 am t3h 1337 m4574r!!!!!11111 pwn4g3!"

Which would translate to...

"I am the leet master! Pwnage!"

link

yah

thats so queer. i cant stand pll that write like that.

link

Me either

Whats wrong with proper languages, why do they have to invent stuff that makes no sense, takes a while to translate?

link

Heh, it never bothers me...although, i'm a big geek, so i'm used to it. Besides, the only time I use it is to make fun of it.

Eye am teh karatay mastre!!!!!11111onetyfive

Its fun to make fun of teh 1337.

link

1337?

what does that mean? lol, i seriously dont kno

link

ok...

PWNED is a game term for OWNED. its not a typo, its really PWNED. I HATE when people type that, but thats what it it. It just means PERSONALLY OWNED. Ya know....when someone beats the living hell out of you on their own, they "PWNED YOU". Personally Owned".

link

Found another animation

Nice Kick:

Bruce Lee animation

link

real explanation

ok on most online games people say u got owned after they beat u in somthing, meaning ur worthless. Then on the more dungeons and dragons online games they would say u got pawned (meaning ur as worthless as a pawn in chess),and for some stupid reason som1 put those 2 together meaning powned.................Im so tired of that shit!

Martial Arts
i have been doing tai kwon do for about a year now and i also practice wing chun kung fu. in terms of what you might want, wing chun gets the job done...well and fast. you don't need to be strong, the style is strong by itself. tai kwon do is flashy and requires you to use brute strength. i enjoy both styles. Capoeira was also another style i tried it was great and very flashy, if your choosing just for...

there is no best martial art, now days, unless you want to be a professional fighter, or you need to know fighting for your job, there is no reason why you should need to know more than self defence, incase you fall intoa situation where you need to defend yourself, or someone else. but the answer lies within what can martial arts do for you, and what do you want to gain out of martial arts; whether it be fitness, self...

My *opinion*
I have tryed TKD for a year and a half.. I can see how it can be a good martial art.. but I had way to much art and not enough martial... If you find a good teacher then it is great and it is great in fights. I tryed kun fu.. it is great.. I loved it, my teacher did a lot of slef defense.. I am not sure if I liked it because he did a lot of...

Bruce wasn't the first to bring Eastern MA over to the West. Edward William Barton-Wright, for example, brought Judo and Jiu-Jitsu from Japan to Europe well over half of a century before Lee's time. He even combined the styles with Western martial arts such as stickfighting, savate, boxing, and wrestling. Eastern martial arts, as well as Lee's ideas, received much attention due to his movies. They were both popularized even though they were not necessarily new.
